Deep Dish Pizza from Giordano's - $26.75

1040 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL - (773)327-1200

Here's Chicago's trademark - the deep dish pizza. It's ooey, gooey, soft and chewy inside and crispy, crunchy, buttery crust outside. Gotta love it. Three slices of heaven is about all I can handle before food coma knocks me out cold... but you can bet I have a smile on my face.

There is one downer to this pizza however - it takes 40 minutes to an hour to create this beast of a pie. But as the saying goes, good things come to those that wait...

Asshole. I've been asking for this for this whole time, the least you could've done is FOCUS PROPERLY on the first pic.

That said... that is one gorgeous looking pizza. How big's the diameter? That shit looks fantastic. Added bonus for the lil mushroom peeking out from all that cheese in the 2nd pic. It's almost like porn. Now do some NY slices, I want a comparison.

NY pizza looks just like normal thin crust pizza except bigger. all i'd have to do is enlarge the photo. anyway, if i ever come across a place that has it, then i'll be sure to get it.

oh yea, and to answer your question, the large was 14" in diameter... that's about 35.5 cm.

Mmmm, that stuff looks really tasty. I wonder how many pounds of cheese was on there. I heard it was like 2 lbs for a large.

yo uppili - next time we're both in town, we should go to Lou Malnati's. my sisters won't go b/c they say the sauce is too watery, but i hear they're the ones that use the layer of sausage
